1970 - Former Mamas and Papas singer Michelle Phillips married actor Dennis Hopper, though they would divorce just 8 days later.
1995 - Alice in Chains released their self-titled album on vinyl. It would not be released on CD or cassette until November 7 of that year.
1997 - Authorities confiscated over 200 counterfeit tickets at a Jane's Addiction reunion concert in New York.
1998 - KISS embarked on their Psycho-Circus tour with a Halloween show in Los Angeles. The Smashing Pumpkins were on hand to warm up the crowd.
